Why did I get a mic when I have been and can record with my iphone? I am serious about my recordings and believe in my dream. One day, you'll be reading my name on the voice actor credits as a key character in an animated film and you'll also be buying the audio books I narrate. I am the pied piper of laughter and joy. Follow me and you'll find yours again.
So back to this mic schtuff. I downloaded Audacity, plugged in my Yeti and it took like 10 takes of, "blah, blah, blah" then, "giggle, laugh, and make some funny noise" on the mic until I relaxed and felt good about my sound and ease of recording. Then, I thought about the Lucy Bear character I created for reading an excerpt from the book, "Children Make Terrible Pets" by Peter Brown for my Audio Book Voiceover Demo. I'd just moments previously recorded myself singing in my normal, natural voice to practice for Rockaraoke. I also love to sing in character voices. I know... it sounds silly... AND IT IS!
I thought to myself, "Now what would Lucy Bear want to sing?" And into my head popped, "Little Bunny Foo Foo". She'd love to sing about other animals playing in the forest. Plus, it gave me a chance to practice how I might create the sound track for the stop motion video I created of me building a nano-block rabbit.
The audio recording quality isn't quite there yet. I think I have an issue with my sound card or some other electrical noise and that's why the constant popping. But, if you can get beyond that, I think it's kinda funny. I made myself laugh and that's what counts right? laugh at your own jokes and the world laughs at, oops, I mean with you? ;)
